C. Islip Woman Failed To Feed Pit Bull, Left Him Outside: SPCA
The 41-year-old was charged with animal cruelty against her 1-year-old pit bull, King.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A Central Islip woman was arrested on Wednesday on animal cruelty charges for failing to give her pit bull food and leaving him tethered outside, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Dorothy Blue, 41, was charged with cruelty to animals for failure to provide proper sustenance and multiple tethering charges for King, her 1-year-old pit bull, the SPCA said.

King was found to be underweight and tethered outdoors for longer than an hour with no food, water or shelter, the SPCA said.

He was seized by SPCA and transported to Islip Animal Shelter in Bay Shore.
Blue was transported to the third Precinct where she was released on bail.

She is due in federal court in Central Islip on January 30, 2019.
