Students and staff at Alfano Elementary School are taking
part in a series of anti-bullying activities aimed at promoting self
esteem and having respect for others. Award-winning singer/songwriter
from Upstate New York, Jared Campbell, has traveled to hundreds of
schools over the past decade to talk with thousands of students about
practicing anti-bullying, having respect for themselves, and to care and
have compassion for others. Mr. Campbell conveyed his message of
kindness through interactive conversation and music, and encouraged
students to view their school community as part of their family. Alfano
Elementary Principal, Ms. Carmen Vazquez, said Mr. Campbell's visit, his
music, and his message made a positive impression upon students. Images
in this slide show depict Alfano students and staff members with Mr.
Campbell.
