Central Islip School District: Alfano Students Learn Lessons On Fire Safety

Students at Alfano Elementary School were visited by
members of the Central Islip Fire Department during Fire Prevention
Week. After learning about smoke alarms, the tasks of firefighters, how
to safely exit a burning building, and an introduction to one of the
Central Islip Fire Department's fire engines, students were given the
opportunity to ask questions which Fire Chief Joseph Vereline answered.

participated in with fire department volunteers.
