During writer's workshop, Alfano teachers Ms. Cicciaro and Ms. Coppelli celebrate second grade students' writing. The workshop structure encourages the students to think of themselves as writers and take their writing seriously. It allows students to express their important thoughts and acknowledges the importance of their stories and idea! The students read aloud writing pieces and display their writing skills. We heard strong leads, great conclusions, details in their stories, emphasizing the five senses and feelings, dialogue, and all about things they know. Trips, school, the beach... A great way to celebrate and build future writing pieces!
