is National Board of Education Appreciation Month, when school
communities show their gratitude for the volunteer efforts put forth by
school board members. Superintendent
of Schools, Ms. Sharon A. Dungee, made the presentation to the Central
Islip Board of Education on behalf of the District's administrators,
faculty, staff, students, and community. The presentation included a
video of O'Neill Elementary students offering candid explanations of the
duties of the Board of Education to their principal, Mrs. Kristine
LoCascio. Ms. Dungee then presented each school board member with an
original piece of artwork created by Central
Islip High School student, Miss Jessica Worth. School Board President
Norman A. Wagner thanked Ms. Dungee and the school community for the
thoughtful presentation. Pictured
