Central Islip School District's pre-kindergarten students received fire
safety lessons from members of the Central Islip Fire Department during
National Fire Prevention Week. Fire department volunteers taught the
youngsters how to safely exit a building in the event of a fire.
Superintendent of Schools Ms. Sharon A. Dungee acknowledged the efforts
of firefighters as they diligently work to help keep the community safe
from fire hazards. Pictured are pre-kindergarten students with
firefighters and Sparky the Fire Dog.
