Chelsea Villaba is a Central
Islip Graduate, Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare Alum and
currently an MSW candidate, who has decided to give back to the
community that she lives in. Chelsea is an aspiring
social worker who has worked for political campaigns and local
organizations helping many in our community. She contacted the A.T.
Morrow school last year to work on a presentation for our 6th grade, and
this year reached out to coordinate with the Morrow
Social Worker for this district-wide supply drive. Chelsea said, " I
want to give back to the community that has given so much to me." With
that goal in mind, we have raised over $1,000 worth of back-to-school
supplies from aa variety of local organizations
and personal contributions. We have coordinated to get the supplies to
all the building Social Workers before the start of school! We have
received everything from backpacks, pencils, notebooks, binders,
crayons, markers, and more!!! We couldn't be more
grateful to Chelsea, the donors, and the Central Islip community for
giving back!
