Students in Cordello Elementary School are celebrating PARP, (Parents as Reading Partners), by embracing and studying countries and nations around the world. In a salute to the 2022 Winter Olympics, each classroom teacher and his or her students, chose a country to read about and study. Students, under the tutelage of their teachers, are researching their selected country's people, customs, ethnicity, language, flags, and history where they are writing about and creating projects that center around that particular country or nation. Each class has created a bulletin board indicative of characteristics of its selected nation or countries. These bulletin boards that decorate the corridors of Cordello Elementary, take visitors to school on a trip around the world as images in this presentation depict. Students took a break from creating passports to showcase their bulletin boards.
