As part of Morrow Elementary School's PARP, (Parents as
Reading Partners), celebration, Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Sharon
A. Dungee, was invited to read a children's storybook to Ms. Tanzi's
Kindergarten Students. The experience was an enriching one for the
youngsters as Ms. Dungee read her story entitled 'After the Fall,' in
interactive fashion, encouraging students to participate in an exchange
of dialogue during their storytelling time. They also talked about the
moral of the story, (a modern interpretation of Humpty Dumpty), about
getting up after a fall, and building better character. Morrow
Elementary School Principal, Dr. Neema Coker, the PARP Committee, Ms.
Tanzi and her students, presented Ms. Dungee with a Morrow PARP 2021 tee
shirt. Dr. Coker said PARP promotes reading, literacy and study skills
both in the classrooms and in the students' homes. Morrow Elementary
Teacher and PTA President, Mrs. Maureen Esposito, said PARP also
encourages parental and family involvement in their children's school
activities. The school's hallways, and even the floors, are decked out
in positive literacy-based messages with this year's theme being 'The
More You Read - The More You Shine!' Images in this presentation

Celebration.
