Dear Central Islip Families and Community,
Find out what's happening in Brentwood-Central Islipfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
Governor Hochul's indoor mask mandate will remain in effect until March 2, 2022. New York's Appellate Division, on January 31, 2022, granted a full stay to the Governor's masking regulations for all public indoor spaces, including schools, for the remainder of the appeals process. This latest legal decision extends Governor Hochul's announcement last week that the mask mandate would remain in effect until at least February 10. The Central Islip School District will continue to follow the law and related protocols while the courts work towards a resolution on the matter. Therefore, face masks are required in our schools for all students, staff, and visitors until further notice.
