Central Islip School District: O'Neill Elementary And Island Harvest Partner To Brighten Local Families' Thanksgiving

Press release from Central Islip School District:

11/23/2021

O'Neill Elementary School's administrators,
faculty, staff and students were busy in the weeks preceding
Thanksgiving, gathering food items to help make some of their neighbors'
holiday a little nicer. O'Neill Elementary Principal, Mrs. Kristine
LoCascio, explained that proceeds raised during the school's Pajama
Drive event helped to purchase Stop and Shop gift cards. O'Neill
Elementary School Social Worker, Ms. Melanie Tran, also noted that the
O'Neill School family teamed up with Island Harvest to help add to the
bounty of Thanksgiving dinner trimmings which were neatly packaged and
distributed to appreciative local neighbors.

Pictured with students displaying turkeys and dozens of
packages of Thanksgiving dinners are Ms. Tran, and O'Neill Academic
Intervention Services Math Teacher, Ms. Allison Philips.
