Central Islip Woman Charged With Murdering Mother: SCPD
The 57-year-old called 911 and told the operator she killed her mother on Tuesday morning, police say.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A Central Islip woman was arrested after she murdered her mother at their home Tuesday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
Sharon Easter, 57, called 911 at 8:09 a.m. and told an operator she killed her mother, police said.
Officers responded to the Cocoanut Street home and found 76-year-old Dorothy Easter, deceased from strangulation wounds, police said.

Detectives charged Sharon with second degree murder.
She will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct, and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
