Drunk Motorcyclist Injured After Central Islip Crash: SCPD
The 33-year-old was hospitalized with seriously injuries after crashing into a car while driving drunk on Monday night, police say.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A Bay Shore man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he crashed his motorcycle into another vehicle in Central Islip on Monday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Edwin Maldonado, 33, was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Wheeler Road near Motor Parkway when the motorcycle struck a 2013 Jeep Wrangler as it was exiting a parking lot making a left turn onto Wheeler Road at 8:40 p.m., police said.

Maldonado was transported by Central Islip Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the Jeep, 50-year-old Richard Wagner, of New Jersey was not injured.

Maldonado was charged with DWI and driving with a suspended license, police said. He will be arraigned at a later date.
