The Fun Adds Up

Hemlock Park Elementary Students and Faculty Enjoy a Night of Math Fun

Brentwood, NY (February 2020)—Hemlock Park Elementary School in Brentwood recently held their annual Math Night. Hundreds of Brentwood students accompanied by parents and joined by peers were invited to take part in the night’s festivities of learning and exploration. The event, put in place by Hemlock’s parents and teachers, was held in the elementary school’s gymnasium where several math-related stations and games were set up for the students to play and hone their critical thinking skills.

“Hemlock Park’s Math Night is an enjoyable night of discovery and critical thinking where our students have the opportunity to explore several math initiatives with their peers and families,” said Mr. Richard Loeschner, superintendent of Brentwood Union Free School District. “The district aims to provide Brentwood students with enhanced learning experiences outside of their classrooms. Thanks to our parents’ and staff’s devotion to our students, the district is able to help improve character and empower all our students to remain life-long learners that are curious about the world around them.”
