Islip Town Officials To Host 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

The event will be held on Tuesday evening.

ISLIP, NY – The Town of Islip will be hosting a memorial ceremony on Tuesday in honor of Islip’s First Responders and the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

The event will take place at Islip Town Hall on 655 Main Street in Islip starting at 5 p.m.

The opening procession will include members of the Fire Departments of the Town of Islip, Suffolk County Police Officers, Bay Shore Fire Department Band and the Lt. Michael Murphy Sea Cadets.

There will be a performance of Taps by a Member of the U.S. Naval Reserve, Amazing Grace by Peter Kletchka and God Bless America by Captain Thomas Waldron of the Brentwood Fire Department.
