Man Found Fatally Shot In Brentwood Road

Detectives believe the gunshot may have been self-inflicted.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A man was found fatally shot in Brentwood on Sunday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

A passing driver noticed the body of a man in the roadway on Grand Boulevard near Noble Street at 5:15 a.m. and called 911.

Police responded and discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound and a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the gunshot may be self-inflicted.

Police did not release the identity of the man. The investigation is continuing.
