Man Killed in Brentwood House Fire: PD

BRENTWOOD, NY — A man died in a Brentwood house fire Monday morning, Suffolk County Police said.

Third Precinct officers and the Brentwood Fire Department responded to a Stepney Lane home at 4:53 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a fire at the location, police said.

An adult male, who was alone in the home, died in the fire, police said. His identity will be determined by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature, police said.
