Man Dies After Being Pinned Between Trucks In LI Parking Lot
Police say the tragedy occurred while the man was trying to help a driver back up a truck Tuesday.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY —A 45-year-old man was killed in a Central Islip parking lot Tuesday morning after he was struck and pinned between two trucks, Suffolk County Police said.
Rolando Padillacanales, of Ronkonkoma, was helping a driver back up a 2007 Hino box truck in the parking lot of 301 South Research Place at about 9:40 a.m., when the truck struck and pinned him against a parked 2006 Freightliner box truck, police said. The driver of the Hino then moved the vehicle forward and Padillacanales fell to the ground, police said.
Padillacanales was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he died from his injuries, police said. The driver of the Hino was not injured, police said.

A safety check was performed on the trucks by Motor Carrier Safety Section officers at the scene and no charges have been filed at this time, police said.
