Man Pulled Over For Speeding Had 55 License Suspensions: Police

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A Huntington Station man faces another charge after police pulled him over speeding and learned he was driving with 55 license suspensions, according to authorities.

Jose Alvarado, 21, was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after Suffolk County police pulled him over Friday night at Islip Avenue near Spur Drive North, authorities said.

According to police, officers were conducting traffic enforcement near the location when Alvarado was pulled over while driving a 2018 BMW 340. After officers stopped Alvarado, they learned his license had been suspended 55 times on multiple dates.

Alvarado was arrested and his car was impounded, police said. Alvarado is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 11.
