A man stole a police car in Brentwood and then promptly crashed it on the Sagtikos State Parkway, Suffolk Police said.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. off the southbound side of the parkway near Pine Aire Drive, police said. The man who stole the car is in custody, but police have not yet released his name.
