Officials To Announce Results Of LI Illegal Dumping Investigation
A total of 23 people and 12 companies were charged with illegally dumping debris during the 18-month investigation.

BRENTWOOD, NY - Officials will reveal the results of an 18-month investigation into illegal construction and demolition debris dumping on Long Island at a press conference in Brentwood on Wednesday afternoon.
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos will be joined by Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) and Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini to announce the results of the investigation, coined Operation TrashNet,.
The conference will take place at 1 p.m. at Brentwood North Middle School.

The crackdown focused on a number of investigations, including the dumping of illegal materials at the middle school.
During the investigation, a total of 23 people and 12 companies were charged for illegal dumping and 18 vehicles were seized, Newsday reports.
