Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck By Car: PD

The 44-year-old was struck by a woman driving a Mercedes Benz on Sunday night.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car in Brentwood Sunday night, according to Suffolk Police.

A 44-year-old Brentwood man was crossing Washington Avenue north of Clarke Street when he was struck by a southbound 2008 Mercedes Benz ML430 at 9:10 p.m.

The driver, 27-year-old Marlene Coello, of Brentwood, called 911 and remained at the scene.

The pedestrian, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported via Brentwood Legion ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with critical injuries.
