Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Pickup Truck
The driver of the truck was driving without a license, police say.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck in Central Islip on Sunday night, Suffolk Police said.
Alejandro Vasquez, 49, of Central Islip was driving a pickup truck westbound on Sportsmen Street, near Connetquot Avenue, when his vehicle struck a pedestrian at 6:50 p.m.
The pedestrian, a 33-year-old Central Islip man, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of head and internal injuries.

Vasquez was issued a summons for driving without a license, police said.
