
BRENTWOOD, NY - A pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a car in Brentwood on Saturday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Wilfredo Moran, 39, of Bay Shore was crossing Fifth Avenue from east to west when he was hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Venture traveling northbound in the left lane on Fifth Avenue at 8:30 p.m.
Moran was taken Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 52-year-old Baldomero Gonzalez, of Brentwood, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
