Pedestrian Struck By Car In Central Islip Hit-And-Run
Police found the car abandoned after the crash on Thursday night.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in Central Islip on Thursday night, according to Suffolk Police.
A man was walking on Wilson Boulevard near Lemon Street at 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle.
The driver fled the scene in the vehicle.

The pedestrian was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Officers found an abandoned vehicle with damage that matched the description of the vehicle involved.

The vehicle was impounded for evidence. The investigation is continuing.
