Pedestrian Struck Twice In LI Hit-And-Run Crash: PD
Both drivers left the scene, police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — Two vehicles fled the scene of a crash during which a pedestrian was hit in Brentwood early Sunday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at about 3 a.m. at the southbound side of Brentwood Road, at the Long Island Rail Road crossing in Brentwood. Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating.
Maria Ramirez, 37, of Brentwood, was walking southbound on Brentwood Road when she was struck by a gray sedan and then a blue sedan, both of which fled the scene, police said.

Ramirez was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
