BRENTWOOD, NY - Almost 900 students at Twin Pines Elementary School in Brentwood received free, brand new books earlier this month.
The books were donated by The Book Fairies, a LI-based non-profit founded by Bellmore resident Amy Zaslansky during an event on Friday, March 9.
The Book Fairies celebrated its 1 millionth book donation with special assemblies featuring children’s author Nancy Krulik, free book fairs where each student picked out 2 books to keep, and visits from Congressman Peter King and professional boxer Chris Algieri.
