Woman Crashes Car Into Suffolk Bakery: Police

A customer was injured after trying to move out of the way.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A man was hospitalized after a woman crashed her car into a Central Islip bakery on Monday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

Kathleen Repreza, 26, of Brentwood was attempting to park a 1995 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of Victoria’s Bakery on 1645 Islip Avenue, when she said her foot slipped off the brake and she accidentally hit the gas pedal causing the car to go into the bakery, police said.

A customer, who was sitting near the window attempted to move out of the way and fell.

He was transported to a local hospital.

Repreza was not injured.

The fire marshal and town building inspector were notified.
