Man Charged With Punching Woman Who Fell Onto Tracks
The 34-year-old punched the woman who waiting for her train at the Central Islip station, police say.

A Central Islip man was charged on Thursday with punching a woman who then fell onto the tracks at the Central Islip train station, an MTA spokesperson said.
Troy Liddell, 34, was charged with reckless endangerment and assault.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A Smithtown woman was punched by an unknown man at the Central Islip train station on Wednesday morning, an MTA spokesperson confirmed.

The 28-year-old woman was punched by the man while waiting for her train on the platform around 7:25 a.m.
As a result, the woman fell onto the tracks.
Another commuter was able to get down onto the track and helped her off.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where she was treated and released for minor injuries.
The MTA PD Detective Division investigation is active and ongoing. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information on this incident should call MTA PD detectives.
