2020 Village Elections: Cuomo Postpones Elections

There were three elections with contested races in the Hudson Valley.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Village elections were set to take place Wednesday in Westchester and Putnam counties Wednesday. However, Gov. Andrew Cuomo Monday postponed all village elections until the April 28 primary.

Applications are absentee ballots are still be accepted at the Westchester County Board of Elections for the Bronxville, Pleasantville, Sleepy Hollow and Tuckahoe elections.

The county applications, which can be found here, must be turned into the Board of Elections office by the close of business Tuesday.

Scarsdale voters can still apply to vote absentee by downloading the application found here, and taking it to the Scarsdale village clerk by 5 p.m. Monday.

Scarsdale Village Clerk Donna Conkling said people will receive an absentee ballot on the spot and may either vote and turn it in right then or turn it in at the Scarsdale Congregation Church polling place Wednesday no later the close of polls at 9 pm.

In Westchester County, there are contested races in Bronxville, Scarsdale and Tuckahoe. Other elections will take place in Briarcliff Manor, Buchanan, Hastings-on-Hudson, Larchmont, Pelham, Pleasantville and Sleepy Hollow. In Putnam, Nelsonville will be holding an election.
