3 Porch Pirates Arrested In Bronxville: Police
A fourth man was arrested because he gave the others thetime and location of a delivery, police said.

BRONXVILLE, NY — Four Bronx men were arrested by Bronxville police in a scheme to steal packages as they were being delivered. Police said they received a 911 call Dec. 7 around 1:52 p.m. reporting the theft of a Fed-Ex package in progress from a Courseview Road residence. The caller reported the suspects fled the area in a grey Audi.
Officers were dispatched and located the Audi on Pondfield Road at the corner of The Byway.
The three occupants of the Audi were found to be in possession of approximately 35 stolen items valued at more than $2,400 including the package delivered on Courseview Road, police said.

Timothy Key, 25, Miguel Jaquez, 22, and Edgardo Suarez, 19, were arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Additionally, a fourth man — James Vargas, 21, of the Bronx — was also employed as a Fed-Ex Ground driver’s helper and provided the location and time of the Courseview Road package delivery to the other three men.

Vargas was arrested Dec. 9 at the Fed-Ex Ground distribution center in Yonkers. He was charged with petit larceny and was issued an appearance ticket to return to the Bronxville Justice Court Jan. 3.
After arraignment, Key was sent to the Westchester County Jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.
Jaquez was sent to the Westchester County Jail after failing to post $10,000 bail.
Suarez could not post bail in the amount of $5,000 and was sent to the Westchester County Jail.
The three men will next appear in Bronxville Justice Court Jan. 3.
