99th Annual Bronxville Christmas Pageant Slated for Christmas Eve

The Reformed Church of Bronxville will hold its annual Christmas Pageant Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the hillside at Pondfield Road and Midland Avenue.

An annual tradition in Bronxville, the pageant has been continuously performed since 1914, according to organizers Susanne and Paul Shoemaker.

This year's event features Lily O'Neill as Mary and Sophie Pingel as the Manger Angel, both from the Reformed Church.

Additional performers include Angels from the following churches, St. Joseph's: Hilary Rizzo, Kate Ferone and Bridget Reilly; Christ Church: Peyton Elder, Kathleen Conaton, Charlotte Reynolds and Lucy Whitney; Reformed Church: Gretchen Richter, Zoe Klimley, Celia Haims, Sabina Richter and Grace Winant; and Church of Golden Sword: Neyomie Alberto.

Joseph will be played by Glenn Bellitto, and Kings will be played by Dave Ruby, Tim McGrath and Bill Gay.

The Lead Shepherd will be played by Stoddart Platt, and Sheephandlers will be played by Henry Palermo and Stephen Shoemaker. Shepherds will be played by Dan Johnson, Joseph Godfrey, Tom Romo, Daniel Romo, Spencer Pingel, Rory Pingel and Murdoch McBride.

The Ministers are First Baptist: The Reverend Lamont S. Granby; The Reformed Church: The Reverent Ken Ruge and The Reverend Cari Pattison; West Center Congregational Church: The Reverend John M. Barrett; Christ Church: The Reverend Michael A. Bird; Golden Sword International Fellowship Church: Bishop Derek Owens; St. Joseph's Church: The Reverend Peter McGeory; and Village Lutheran: Vicar Morris Mayer.

The Song Leader is Dale Walker, and the Brass Quartet will be led by Wyn Walshe. The Invisible Choir Director is MaryAnn Palermo. Lighting and Technical duties are carried out by Jeff Kastenbaum and Rick Everett, and the Christmas Trees were provided by Danny's Trees of Eastchester.
