Annual Salute to Seniors Set at Gramatan Village

Community resources and information, as well as an art exhibit, will be part of the day-long event.

BRONXVILLE, NY — Bronxville’s fourth annual Salute to Seniors has been set for Saturday, October 1 at Gramatan Village.

The day-long celebration is co-sponsored by the Senior Citizens Council, Gramatan Village, NY-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital and the Bronxville Rotary Club.

Organizers said the day is a great way to learn about community resources and services that support older residents and would be especially valuable for those who may be new to the area or concenred about an aging parent or friend.

There will be informational tables along Pondfield Road from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Three restaurants—Underhills Crossing, Fogarty’s and Park 143 Bistro—will offer “Silver Plate Lunch Specials.”

At 2 p.m., there will be an opening reception of the Speeders 55+ Art Show, which will be showcasing works by local artists over the age of 55.
