Arrest Made In 2016 Christmas Burglaries

State police said they got new information about two breakins at an Otisville convenience store.

MIDDLETOWN, NY — A Westchester County man was arrested Thursday for two burglaries committed in December 2016. State Police at Middletown announce the arrest of Brian Conklin, 24, of Yonkers.

On Dec. 21 and then on Christmas Day 2016, troopers responded to activated burglar alarms at the Otisville Gulfmart convenience store. On both dates, they found that the front door had been kicked in.

Items including cash registers, cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets were taken during both crimes. Intitial investigation failed to produce any suspects.

In November 2018, new information was developed that identified Brian Conklin as the perpetrator in both cases.

Conklin was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Mount Hope Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
