VIDEO: Arrest Made in Gruesome Yonkers Hit-and-Run Fatal Incident
The suspect and the victim are alleged to have had a prior dispute.
A suspect in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Yonkers was arrested Wednesday, according to police.
Mount Vernon resident Carla Scott, 34, is alleged to have had a prior dispute with the victim, 37-year-old Glynis Pinto, before Scott ran her down with her car on Warburton Avenue on April 18.
The below surveillance video from Yonkers police shows Scott hitting Pinto and driving off with Pinto clinging to the hood of the car. Fios1 News reports that soon after, Pinto slides off and Scott allegedly drives over her and flees the scene.

“Investigation to date has revealed that the suspect had a prior dispute with the victim, ”Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Patrick McCormack told The Journal News. “The suspect, while operating a motor vehicle, subsequently struck the victim with the suspect vehicle in the area of Warburton Avenue and Babcock Place, resulting in the victim’s death.”

Scott has been charged with felony second degree manslaughter and was scheduled to be arraigned today.
