In Bronxville and the surrounding area, when it comes to Mexican food, there are only a few places to choose from and for many, their choice almost always is a trip down to the Blue Moon Mexican Cafe, located in the shadow of the old Gramatan Hotel, near the train station.
Blue Moon's mantra is simple, "Life is a fiesta...eat it up!" With this in mind, patrons can be seen packing the cafe night after night and especially on Sundays as Blue Moon offers NFL Ticket. So, if your favorite team happens to not be the Jets or Giants, Blue Moon has got you covered.

The restaurant's drink specials are very popular, beginning with its weekday happy hour menu, which runs from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. where you can get sangria, margarita, and beer specials along with free nachos and quesadillas at the bar.
Karaoke nights are always a fun time, especially on the third Thursday of every month at Blue Moon. Look for next month's Karaoke night to take place on Oct. 20, and the best singer of the night gets a $25 gift card to the restaurant.
Menu items range in price, from a bowl of Blue Moon Chili at $7.95 to the restaurant's signature burritos, like "smokey the bearitto" stuffed with barbecue chicken strips, refried beans, smoked gouda and Mexican rice, all for $13.50.
Blue Moon is certainly a kid-friendly restaurant as well, and many families can be seen during the week and on the weekend enjoying their chips and salsa and children's menu items such as moon strips, which are chicken strips, or the usual favorite cheese quesadilla.
Of course like most great restaurants, service is a very important aspect of what brings customers back, as evident in this customer's experience from urbanspoon.com.
"So cute! Outdoor dining, freshly fried tortilla chips (that they refilled without us asking!) and just fresh amazing food. The server was amazing, Sergio, very attentive and never had to be asked twice he always remembered to bring what we had asked."
Another customer ended up eating off of other people's plates at his table because the food looked so good.
"I ordered the steak and avocado wrap which was refreshing, flavorful and hit the spot... no cheese, no heaviness, just loads of flavor. It came with a little bean and corn salad and a slice of cantalope, which I thought was inventive."
Blue Moon Mexican Cafe is open Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
