Bronxville Declares State Of Emergency
Residents are encouraged to limit travel so first responders and utility crews can access neighborhoods.

BRONXVILLE, NY — Widespread flooding from Tropical Storm Ida has led the village of Bronxville to declare a state of emergency.
Village officials said, via email Thursday, that on-street parking regulations remain suspended until further notice.
All village roads are now accessible except for Lower Milburn and Stone Place.

There is limited through traffic on Parkway Road, between Midland and Dewitt, and the entrance ramp to the Sprain Brook Parkway via Parkway remains closed.

While power outages were limited, some residents have reported little or no phone and internet service.
Private property damage should be documented, village officials said, and you should contact your insurance company. The village will provide information about potential assistance if and when a federal disaster is declared.
The Department of Public Works will make every effort to collect garbage Friday, and the village will make efforts to collect discarded items damaged by flooding. Items can be placed curbside; there is no need to schedule a pick-up.
If you need to have a basement pumped out, call the Eastchester Fire Department at 914-793-6403. If you called for a pump-out and no longer need it, call the fire department so it can take you off the list.

The schools still have water damage, despite continuous pumping. However, the administrators have indicated that school will be open next week.
