Bronxville, Eastchester Weekend Weather: Reaching the 70s

As the Beatles used to sing “Here comes the sun!”

While southern Westchester communities are looking at a chance of rain tonight and Friday, Saturday is expected to be sunny and warm with a high in the 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds will be a gusty Saturday, approaching 30 miles per hour, but other than that it will be a lovely day.

“Things improve as Friday wears on… things will dry out, and a few peeks of afternoon sun are possible,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. But the REAL winner is going to be Saturday… where the only question is, just how warm does it get.”

Before then, rain will start creeping in overnight tonight, with a low in the 40s. Rain will continue for the morning and afternoon on Friday, with a high in the 60s. Lows will be in the high 40s or low 50s.

Sunday is expected to be partly cloudy and bit cooler, with highs in the 50s. Rain will return on Monday, with highs in the 50s.

Here’s the weekend forecast for Bronxville from the NWS:

Tonight: A chance of showers after 3am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 50. South wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Showers likely, mainly between 8am and 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 66. West wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 51. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 59.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 54. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
