Bronxville HS Earns Place On Advanced Placement School Honor Roll
The school earned a Platinum distinction for its work in welcoming more students into AP courses and offering support.

BRONXVILLE, NY — It isn't often that a school is awarded a place of its own on the honor roll, but Bronxville High School managed to earn national recognition for its efforts the give as many students as possible a powerful head start on their college curriculum.
Bronxville High School announced that is has been named to the Advanced Placement School Honor Roll by the College Board, with a Platinum distinction for the school's impressive work in welcoming more students into AP courses and supporting them on the path to succeeding in college.
"We offer more than 20 different Advanced Placement courses at Bronxville High School to provide our students with rigorous academic experiences that will prepare them to be successful in college and beyond," Principal Ann Meyer said. "This recognition by the College Board acknowledges our commitment to open enrollment in the AP program, the outstanding instruction our faculty provide in these courses and students’ hard work and dedication to their academics."

According to the College Board website, the AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while also broadening access. Schools can earn the recognition yearly based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-attending culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credits, and maximizing readiness for college. The AP School Honor Roll has four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
The College Board’s AP Program gives students the opportunity to pursue college-level coursework while still in high school. Through AP courses, each culminating in a challenging exam, students can earn college credits and advanced placement.
