Bronxville Kindergartners Learn With Pumpkins
The pumpkin-related activities were designed to introduce students to math, science and language arts concepts.

BRONXVILLE, NY — Bronxville Elementary School kindergartners briskly walked toward the field of pumpkins, set up on school grounds, as part of the annual fall tradition Oct. 15.
The students selected their own pumpkins, provided by the PTA, before bringing them back to their classrooms to closely examine and study them, according to a district spokesman.
Throughout the week, the kindergartners participated in hands-on activities that were designed to introduce them to math, science and language arts concepts.
