Bronxville Library Hosts Watercolor Artist

Watercolor Artist Kathleen Zann Isacson returns to the Bronxville Public Library in October with an enchanting new collection of water color paintings that will be on display all month.

 

Art lovers will be flocking to the in October as Kathleen Zann Isacson’s exhibit of her most recent watercolor paintings, “Glances Abroad: Watercolor Impressions from World Travel” will be presented in the Little Gallery for the entire month of October.

The public is invited to meet the artist and join an opening reception on Oct. 6, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the library.

“Wherever I travel I am drawn to the local population engaged in their everyday tasks," stated Isacson in a press release who continued that, "sometimes I’m rewarded with a smile or catch the strain of fatigue and a story emerges and with the story comes an insight into a unique fragment of the human mosaic."

She continues to say that it is moments of illumination in everyday life that she tries to communicate in paintings, framing a moment for everyone.

Isacson paints exclusively in traditional transparent watercolor. A Signature Member of the North East Watercolor Society she is a graduate of St. Mary’s College, California and continued her art education at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

Kathleen’s studio is located in Harlem and her paintings hang in private collections.
