BRONXVILLE, NY — Celebrating its 25th year, the Bronxville School Foundation started the new school year with six new board members, along with a new slate of officers for the upcoming year. The non-profit organization has given more than $8 million in grants to the Bronxville School to enhance the quality of education by funding new curriculum, technology, faculty training, facilities projects and special materials and equipment.
Following are biographies of the new board members:
Lori Beecher is an Executive Vice President, Media & Content Strategy at Ketchum. She joined the Ketchum team two years ago. She is responsible for counseling some of the firm’s largest clients in North America on content-forward media strategy and executive visibility. She also provides senior-level guidance for the development and management of highly visual content for brand and corporate storytelling. Prior to Ketchum, Lori spent 28 years as a television producer at ABC, NBC, CBS and in syndicated television. She has produced compelling stories in every television daypart—including 60 Minutes, the Evening News, Good Morning America, Today, Dateline, Nightline and the KATIE show. She is the recipient of Emmy and duPont awards for her work and was responsible for producing many of the most memorable interviews in recent times. Lori graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland. Lori and her husband Marc Burstein have lived in Bronxville for 17 years. They have three children, two of whom currently attend Bronxville High School.
Won Young Giuriceo has lived in Bronxville since 2008, raising three children with her husband, Ken. Won’s professional background is as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP. Won has been active in the community since moving to Bronxville. She has served as member and chair of the Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee, as chapel leader at the Reformed Church Sunday School, as Treasurer on the Reformed Nursery School Board, as class parent, as a member of the Siwanoy Women’s Golf Association, as coach in the Bronxville Youth Lacrosse Association and as a contributing committee member of the Community Fund and NYP/Lawrence Hospital. Won serves on the Board of the One Love Foundation, a foundation whose mission is to end relationship violence through education and awareness. As an undergraduate, she attended Boston College.
Joseph Hutchins earned a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts. Joseph worked in the museum field at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts before moving to New York City in 1984 where he opened a business designing and building marketing and advertizing projects for architects, advertising agencies, film production companies and corporations. He serves on two municipal committees in Killingworth, CT. Joseph and his wife Celina Vansetti have been residents of Bronxville for 12 years, and have one child who attends the Bronxville School.
Nancy Marshall graduated from Holy Cross with a BA in political science and holds a law degree from Fordham University School of Law. Until 2012, Nancy worked at School of the Holy Child in Rye; first as a Middle School teacher, next as Director of Admissions and, after starting a family, as a part-time educational consultant. She has served on the Board of Reformed Church Nursery School and has volunteered in various roles at the Bronxville School, including chair of the Elementary School Council. Nancy is also a Sustaining Member of the Bronxville Junior League. She and her husband Steuart (Bronxville School ’86) have been Bronxville residents since 2002 and have three children attending the Bronxville School.
Vincent McBride is a Partner and Director of International Equities at Lord Abbett & Co., where he is responsible for establishing the strategy for the firm’s international equity products. Prior to joining Lord Abbett in 2003, he worked for Warburg Pincus Asset Management, most recently as a Managing Director and head of the International Equity Group. Vincent earned a BS in economics from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Rutgers University. He sits on the Dean’s Council for the Alfred Lerner College of Business & Economics at Delaware, and is a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. Vincent has coached flag football within the All Yonkers Youth Association, and has assisted with baseball inside the TYA. Vincent and his wife Michelle have lived in Bronxville since 2009, and have three children attending the Bronxville School.
Art Nagle graduated from Penn State with a B.A. in Mathematics and after two years as a Systems Engineer with IBM, received a commission as an Ensign from the Navy Officer’s Candidate School in Newport, RI. He subsequently served on a destroyer as well as two tours in Viet Nam. Upon discharge from the Navy he enrolled at Columbia Graduate School of Business from which he received an MBA in 1967. He then joined The First Boston Corporation in New York where he became a Managing Director and Head of the Private Finance Group and later Co-Head of the Leveraged Buyout Group. In 1988, along with six colleagues, he founded the private equity firm Vestar Capital Partners and became its first Chairman and Co - CEO and is currently a Senior Advisor. Art and his wife Paige moved to the village in 1979 and both of their children attended and graduated from Bronxville High School. He has served on many corporate boards – both public and private – as well as not-for-profits including the initial BSF, the Community Fund, Episcopal Charities of NY, Lawrence Hospital, Chairman of Stellaris Healthcare System, Chair of a major capital campaign at Penn State, and as a Senior Warden of Christ Church.
“We are so pleased to welcome our new board members. They bring a wealth of talent, experience and demonstrated commitment to the Bronxville School and community that will be invaluable to advancing the mission of the Foundation. All of us on the Board are looking forward to welcoming them and to working with them,” said newly elected chairman Lisa Smith Barr. Formerly vice president of grants and vice president of public relations, Lisa has been elected Chairman of the Board replacing outgoing Chairman Ashley Hanrahan. Lisa joined the Foundation Board in 2012. In addition to her work on grants and public relations, she also served on the development committee.

Returning Board Members include: Jane Goodell, Holly Green Gordon, Nancy Yu Kochansky, Eileen C. Marshall, Helena K. McSherry, Priscilla A. Newman, Robert O’Hare Jr., Charles Preusse, Steven F. Thomas, Eddie Sulimirski and school superintendent, Dr. David Quattrone.

The Foundation Board also includes as ex-officio members PTA Vice President Kelly Connors and School Board liaison Adele Murray.
