While students are unable to assemble, NYSSMA will bring together the All-State ensembles in a virtual format to record an All-State concert. Barker was chosen for the prestigious honor based on the proficiency she demonstrated at the New York State School Music Association solo festival in 2019. This is the second year that Barker has been chosen to participate in the conference.
“I’m really excited that a choir as large as All-State can manage to make something happen, even during COVID-19,” Barker said. “I’m honestly just so glad that some sort of music-making and choir opportunity exists right now.”
