BRONXVILLE, NY — Bronxville High School senior Grace Gramins is among 60 extraordinary artists to be selected as a 2022 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts nominee. The prestigious honor was bestowed by YoungArts to talented high school students — representing 23 states and 10 artistic disciplines — who exemplify artistic and academic excellence.

Gramins entered the competition with three original songs, “Back to You,” “Don’t Wanna Lose More Than I Have Already” and “Six,” which she wrote in the past year. She was selected as a 2022 YoungArts finalist in the category of voice/singer-songwriter through a rigorous blind adjudication process.

As a finalist, she had the opportunity to participate in the National YoungArts Week+ in January, during which she was further evaluated for nomination to the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The National YoungArts Week+ featured virtual classes, workshops and mentorship from leading artists.
