Bronxville Today: Board of Trustees Meeting; Summer Reading; Stories in the Garden

  • The Village of Bronxville Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday night at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place in Village Hall, located at 200 Pondfield Road. The Board will be reviewing the proposed budget of 2013/2014 and voting on final budget plan. For more information, call 914-337-6500.

 

  • Expect relay races, lemonade and watermelon stands, snow cones, crafts, cotton candy, sweet shop, bubble blowing contests and more on the Bronxville Public Library Lawn this evening for the Summer Reading Game Finale Party. The fun celebration will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to August 20. Please call 914-337-7680 x34 with any questions.

 

  • Bronxville today will have a high of 77 degrees and a low of 62. There will be scattered thunderstorms and showers in the morning, and it will be partly cloudy in the afternoon.

  • The Eastchester Public Library is holding its Read-to-Me Game Party at 11 a.m. this morning for pre-reading age children, two to five years old. Children and parents are welcome to enjoy family music time with Kurt Gallagher followed by drawing of the winners of the pre-readers game.

 

  • Wave Hill Public Garden and Cultural Center is holding Stories in the Garden today for children ages three and up. The event is free, and admission to the grounds is free all day long. Stories in the Garden will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will feature a delightful reading adventure with nature themed storybooks.
