Bronxville Woman Arrested While Stopped on I-87 in Rockland

Police said they were responding to a possibly disabled vehicle but found a drunk driver.

A Bronxville woman was arrested Saturday morning and charged with driving drunk.

New York State Police said Julieanna Wheeler, 46, taken into custody around 2:40 a.m. while she was stopped on I-87 at Exit 12.

Police were responding to a possible disabled vehicle but found Wheeler to be allegedly intoxicated.

She was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.23 percent.

Wheeler was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated and was released to a sober third party.

Her next court appearance is set for Jan. 27.
