Chamber Chatter: Broadway on Cedar Event, Eco Green Cleaners Debuts
A weekly column from Peggy Conway of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Chamber of Commerce!
When I began this endeavor in December, I had the impression that there were some times that were busier than others in the business world. There is never a dull moment here in Bronxville, because our merchants are always planning fun events! Â
One thing that I find amazing is that our business owners love to coordinate events with other merchants. Last week, for example, Urban Cottage Design held a “Cabin Fever” evening event (quite a successful one, may I add!), and their neighbor, Station Plaza Wine and Spirits, provided some refreshments. Â

Next month, St. Joseph’s Church presents Broadway on Cedar. This event, to be held on Saturday, March 26, will feature the talents of St. Joseph’s parish and school musical groups, all under the direction of the amazing John Strybos. The Wine Emporium and Dobbs and Bishop will host wine and cheese pairings. What a perfect combination! Please contact John for more information. (JPStrybos@aol.com, 914-337-9205) Thank you to all of our merchants for their generous and willing spirits!Â
Many of our members have received great reviews in the press recently. Two of our interior designers, Patricia O’Shaughnessy (67 Kensington Road, 346-8786) and Sarah Chapin (6 Midland Gardens, 361-1157), were interviewed in the Winter 2011 edition of Westchester Home Magazine. They share decorating tips and mistakes, even in their own homes! Congratulations, Patti and Sarah! Another of our designers, Cheryl Tague of Core Home, Inc., had a project of hers in Aspen, Colorado, featured in the February issue of House Beautiful.Â

The New York Times reviewed Chantilly Patisserie in yesterday’s edition (“Quick Bite”, Sunday, February 13). The reviewer sang the praises of the Gambini family’s pastries and of the beauty of the patisserie itself. Congratulations, Maria and Mariana!
We have a new member in our Bronxville business community: the Chamber of Commerce welcomes Eco Green Cleaners. The shop, located at 24 Park Place (337-3378), is an environmentally friendly dry cleaner. They are offering terrific specials: 40 percent off dry cleaning, and 15 percent off shirt laundering. Welcome to the neighborhood!
Our membership drive is under way! This week, we mailed out applications for renewal of Chamber membership and for new memberships. Look for them in the mail, and please call Peggy in the Chamber office (337-6040) if you have any questions. We would love to have all of our Bronxville businesses involvedÂ
The Chamber of Commerce Guide, our local telephone book, has been mailed to residences, and members will receive their copies in the next week–hand delivered! Thank you to all of our members for their generous support of the Guide. Special thanks to Rosemary Campion of Blackbird Creative Services (793-9355) for all of her help with the design, printing, and mailing of the Guide. She is a great graphic designer!Â
The Chamber is pleased to announce that our Joy Kilbourn Memorial Fund has raised over $1,500 to date. Joy was an integral part of the Bronxville business community for many years, as president of the Chamber of Commerce and as owner of Cliffhanger. Please send your donations to the Chamber of Commerce at 81 Pondfield Road, Suite 7, Bronxville, N.Y. 10708.
We invite all of our members to send in their news and information to the Chamber for publication on our website. This is a great venue for you all–please feel free to utilize it! We love publicity!
