Collaging Crash Course (Ages 11+)

Have you ever pictured something in your mind and wanted to create a realistic version of it? Do you like solving puzzles? Learn all about the art of collaging! The best part about collaging is that no matter how refined (or not refined) your drawing skills are, the picture always comes out realistic - because it is!

Discover how to compose the foreground, middle ground and background of a picture. Let your imagination run wild; have hot lava flowing from Mt. Everest, a horse running on an open field, whatever your imagination allows!

Enjoy a few summer days of creative expression and learning in a collaging class for pre-teens/teens.

Open to all levels. Learn how to turn everyday printed matter into original images of your own design. Work with instructor, Liz Burg, to turn your ideas into collages (she made the images you see on this page!).

TAUGHT BY Liz Burg: Liz Burg is an engineering student at Tufts University. Although art and engineering may not seem to initially fit together, she plans to combine them in a future career of product design. Her artwork has twice been displayed at the rivertown’s own Upstream Gallery and she has been working freelance on artistic projects.

She loves working with kids and has worked at a summer camp for the past few summers as well as tutored. She loves seeing what kids can do with their imagination and hopes to help them along the way! To sign up, email :registration@curiousonhudson.com
