COMMON CORE: Teachers Are Also The Victims - They've been Lied To
There's no easy way to say this.....but it needs to be said:
The biggest road block to stopping Common Core right now -
Too many teachers still don't get it.
I honestly mean no offense.
It's time to deal with this out in the open. We need to know what the terrain really looks like if we're going to win this war. And right now, by and large many teachers, in spite of the fact that they are very much the targets of CC, just don't understand the full magnitude and the structure of this machine. And they can't conceive that that's true.
They're in a tough spot, I get it. They mean well and are working hard, I know it. But they've been lied to. And they need to be able to see what is really going on. And it's obvious that too many of them don't. Too many are unwilling to engage in the discussion and are even willing to work against it.

I'm sure this post will cause some heat. But that's what happens when things get moving. If you want to have traction, you're going to have friction. We need to raise awareness. Our kids are subject to this every day.
