Update: Man Killed in Yonkers Shooting

Another victim shot Tuesday afternoon is in serious condition.

Updated at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015: One of the two men who were shot Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle in Yonkers has died, according to police.

The second victim is in serious condition in an area hospital. Police have not yet released the names of the victims.

The Journal News reports that the shooting does not appear to be random.

“These suspects were possibly targeted,” Yonkers Police Det. Lt. Patrick McCormack told The Journal News. “That’s what we’re concentrating on.”

The Journal News reports the victims were taken to separate area hospitals for treatment, and one of the men was considered in critical condition.

The shooting took place at about 1:30 p.m. near Lake and Morningside avenues.
